What you can expect from me during our sessions…
I am Jessica, a dedicated and experienced mental health professional with over 20 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations and a wide range of mental health concerns.
My journey began in 2000 during my undergraduate internship, where I had the opportunity to work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. This experience sparked my passion for helping individuals of all ages and led me to pursue further educational and professional growth endeavors.
My professional interests lie in conceptualizing interventions systemically, using relational, client-centered, and cognitive-behavioral theories and tools. I firmly believe in teaching, strengthening, and generalizing skills across important settings to facilitate lasting change for my clients.
Taking a holistic approach, I strive to understand each client individually and view them within the larger context of their lives. This allows me to support the development of healthy and durable skills while fostering positive change. I have worked collaboratively with clients across the lifespan, from individual and relational counseling to assessing the impact of oppression from societal pressures.

INNER CHILD/YOUNGER ME:
In a world that often pushes people to fit into a “box”, I believe you deserve to be seen and heard. Growing up, I had so many aspects of myself that were important to my identity, but as a child, the world often reduced me to only one basic part of my identity at any time. My gifts were born from the interplay of the vast diversity within me. I am not just one simple story.
Now, more than ever, in a political climate that challenges identity and self-expression, I choose to honor all the authentic aspects of myself and those within my community.
